2009 Tournament of Roses Parade
Lorianne and Charlie hosted RFD-TV's coverage of the Tournament of Roses Parade on New Year's Day. Their Pasadena call time was 2:00 AM. That's even earlier than Charlie normally gets up! And about the time Lorianne usually gets to bed!
Lorianne and Charlie had over 300 pages of notes about the many entries, and they loved being able to convey to the RFD-TV audience what made each float special. And they were amazed by what they saw! The floats were up to 40 feet tall, and everything was made from flowers or some other organic material like corn husks or palm leaves. For instance, ground spices were used to create some of the colors. Needless to say, Lorianne and Charlie were blown away by the creative people who put together these breathtaking pieces of live, and moving, art.
